She has been a fighter for groundwater protections and for Arizona's future.&nbsp;Kris Mayes previously served as a Republican statewide elected official on the Arizona Corporation Commission. As a commissioner and Chair, her leadership helped create tens of thousands of high-paying jobs, saved Arizona consumers billions of dollars, and required utilities to produce more clean and efficient energy — including solar and wind.
