BORDER SECURITY

Border Security is a federal responsibility, and as Attorney General, I will not allow the federal government to neglect that responsibility.

I will coordinate with state, local and national law enforcement to go after the cartels who engage in drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and human trafficking. We have a Fentanyl crisis that is out of control, destroying families and killing people. These are very serious problems that demand serious action — not an endless succession of press conferences at the border with all bark and no bite. Our border can only be secured through a combined team effort with county sheriffs, local police departments, state agencies like the Department of Public Safety, and federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice.
