Our state is facing a dire situation with water scarcity, increasing heat, wildfires and air pollution. I have the expertise and experience to work on these issues in a meaningful way.
I care deeply about conservation and protecting our beautiful state for generations to come. We all deserve clean air to breathe and clean water to drink.
When I was on the Arizona Corporation Commission, I co-authored the Arizona Renewable Energy Standard, which was one of the most aggressive Standards of its time and has saved Arizona ratepayers millions of dollars, while protecting our environment. The water/energy nexus will remain critical for our state, as will groundwater protection laws, proper remediation of contaminated areas and looking at all of these issues as symbiotic given our early fire seasons, prolonged drought and increasing temperatures.
I am also committed to ensuring our rural communities will always be heard, along with Arizona’s Tribal Nations.
